Can you explain what you're making here?

We’re creating a collaborative canvas where guests at Dream Con can add their own creative marks. Once everyone contributes, I come in with outlines and finishing touches to tie it together.

Where did the idea come from?

I’ve done live and collaborative paintings before, but this is the first time bringing that idea to Dream Con. I think it adds something memorable and personal. It’s not just my art—it’s everyone’s. I always say it’s better when we collaborate. Everyone’s an artist here.

Is this your first Dream Con? How’s it been?

Yeah, this is my first one—and it’s been unreal. The energy, the costumes, the production—everything is on another level. But what’s stood out most is how friendly everyone is. People have come from all over the country, and I’m excited to represent a part of Houston for them.

Will there be a new painting each day?

Yep! I’m here for two days, making a new painting each day. Yesterday, over 200 people painted on the first piece. Today’s canvas is a whole new one. On the last day, both paintings will be displayed together. It’s been a lot of fun.

That’s awesome—I can’t wait to see them side by side.
